Well well after what has seemed like the longest season in I league history we have finally reached an end. We managed to make it to another Stanley Keg game. This will definetly be no cake walk, the Stickmen are 6-0-2 and have only 4 goals against all season. 2 of which came in shoot outs. Shoot outs are also the only loses these guys have all season [one of them was won a Fug in Wolves clothing!]. They dont just have one good line they have well you could say "depth". Stickmen players to watch for are Larry W., Tim James, Jim O'reilly, Jeff Thomas, & Jesse Henderson. All these guys seem to find their way to the score sheet frequently. They are so solid they don't give up many shots much less goals. They have had a realitively easy schedule as you can see the results below.
Week 8: S.M. 4 --Brewzers 0 [14 shots on goal]
Week 7: S.M. 3 -- Snipers 0 [10 shots on goal]
Week 6: S.M. 0 -- Wolverines 1 [24 shots, shoot out loss]
Week 5: S.M. 4 -- Spiders 0 [no shot total available]
Week 4: S.M. 1 -- Stingers 2 [no shot total shoot out loss]
Week 3: S.M. 4 -- Puckers 1 [no shot total available]
Week 2: S.M. 2 -- Ice Holes 0 [ONLY 6 shots]
Week 1: S.M. 4 -- Shockers 0 [no shot total]
I have played them twice this year and can tell you that you will need 2 things to happen for a win.
LOTS AND LOTS OF SHOTS ON GOAL as you can see the Wolverines game
and
GREAT GOAL TENDING [which we have the capabilities of both!!]
Bring your "A" game Saturday and the headline will read "Fugz, 3 Time Champs!" on Sunday.

Stats as of Game #8
Ok well I don't like to write about losses but here we go...
We had a ton of shots [28 total!] which some coaches will lead you to belive that should make you capable of finding the win column [just ribbing you Coach]. Matt was on fire with a pair of goals, the first the gave assists to Craig and Clark, the second was a power play goal [our 1st of the season] assisted by Chuck Dolbee who also made a plea bargain on his way to the sin bin and only served 2 minutes for hooking when it was a heck of a slash [4 minutes automatically]. Hard to belive Chuck also only has 4 PIM's for the season. Craig also made his way to the sin bin, for his 1st penalty of the season. This week is the Keg in which many teams think that we should not be there! Lets prove them wrong and take it for a 3rd time!
A good time was had by 3 lucky Fugz who got to play on the fast as heck ice of the AAC this past Tuesday. So we were Komets for an hour, it was a blast! Yes we did look good [thanks Clark, and HELL YEAH WE WON--Thanks Tilly!] Will get out Pictures of that after the Keg game and also pictures I have recieved via email for this past season.

Stats as of week 7

Well after hard fought battle and win over the Ice Holes looks like we sealed the deal and are going to the Kegger. Here is the updated stats, had to make a new column for bench penalties [imagine that!]. According to the score sheet looks like Tilly and Mindo got the goals with no helpers. Mindo also took his first penalty of the season, glad to see its not always "puppy dogs and sunshine" with you lad. j/k but great job to all. One final note, Snipers are this weeks opponent just remember to watch your ears since they still have Largent.
AND
After party at Doc's house this week [not Frank's but Doc's actual place of residence].

From the Euless Blog:
Here's the quote...
Fugaweez 2 Ice Holes 1
League Game of the Night Part II featured another classic Fugaweez game. Fugs needed a win plus a Pats win over the Spiders to punch their ticket to the keg game. Fugaweez got the 1-0 lead on a Derrick Tillemons goal in the 2nd. In the 3rd Steve Junker hits the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1, when late in the third (again) the Fugs find some later game heroics, this time from Scott Dolbee to get the 2-1 lead, which would hold up for the final. A battle of goalies was fought as Bobby Michaelides stops 12 of 13 while Ice Holes Netminder David Giesecke stops 8 of 10. More on the Keg later…
AWESOME - We came to play as a team. Then we did!

This Weeks Game [week 7]
Ice Holes vs. Fugaweez: 10:45 Green
Sorry for the delay in posting this week, but here we go with this weeks preview. This week the Ice Holes will lace up and prepare for battle with us. They are 4-2-0 but don’t let the two losses fool you lately this team has been on fire. They have one of the leagues top scorers in Jared Junker [sorry don’t have his # yet]. They usually don’t get a lot of shots on net but when they do they seem to be good scoring opportunities. Here is a list of their results from this season. Was talking with the Euless blog spot guy and since the Patriots lost last week we supposedly can finalize our spot in the kegger with a victory tonight!
week 1 Ice Holes 1- Snipers 0 [win]
week 2 Ice Holes 0- Stickmen 2 [loss]
week 3 Ice Holes 5- Stingers 4 [Shoot out win]
week 4 Ice Holes 0- Spiders 4 [loss]
week 5 Ice Holes 4- Wolverines 1 [win heard the W's scored 2x on themselves]
week 6 Ice Holes 3- Patriots 1 [win]
looks they have to be shut out to lose so Bobby come focused!
