Stats as of Game #8
We had a ton of shots [28 total!] which some coaches will lead you to belive that should make you capable of finding the win column [just ribbing you Coach]. Matt was on fire with a pair of goals, the first the gave assists to Craig and Clark, the second was a power play goal [our 1st of the season] assisted by Chuck Dolbee who also made a plea bargain on his way to the sin bin and only served 2 minutes for hooking when it was a heck of a slash [4 minutes automatically]. Hard to belive Chuck also only has 4 PIM's for the season. Craig also made his way to the sin bin, for his 1st penalty of the season. This week is the Keg in which many teams think that we should not be there! Lets prove them wrong and take it for a 3rd time!
A good time was had by 3 lucky Fugz who got to play on the fast as heck ice of the AAC this past Tuesday. So we were Komets for an hour, it was a blast! Yes we did look good [thanks Clark, and HELL YEAH WE WON--Thanks Tilly!] Will get out Pictures of that after the Keg game and also pictures I have recieved via email for this past season.

Stats as of week 7

Well after hard fought battle and win over the Ice Holes looks like we sealed the deal and are going to the Kegger. Here is the updated stats, had to make a new column for bench penalties [imagine that!]. According to the score sheet looks like Tilly and Mindo got the goals with no helpers. Mindo also took his first penalty of the season, glad to see its not always "puppy dogs and sunshine" with you lad. j/k but great job to all. One final note, Snipers are this weeks opponent just remember to watch your ears since they still have Largent.
AND
After party at Doc's house this week [not Frank's but Doc's actual place of residence].

From the Euless Blog:
Fugaweez 2 Ice Holes 1
League Game of the Night Part II featured another classic Fugaweez game. Fugs needed a win plus a Pats win over the Spiders to punch their ticket to the keg game. Fugaweez got the 1-0 lead on a Derrick Tillemons goal in the 2nd. In the 3rd Steve Junker hits the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1, when late in the third (again) the Fugs find some later game heroics, this time from Scott Dolbee to get the 2-1 lead, which would hold up for the final. A battle of goalies was fought as Bobby Michaelides stops 12 of 13 while Ice Holes Netminder David Giesecke stops 8 of 10. More on the Keg later…
AWESOME - We came to play as a team. Then we did!

This Weeks Game [week 7]
Sorry for the delay in posting this week, but here we go with this weeks preview. This week the Ice Holes will lace up and prepare for battle with us. They are 4-2-0 but don’t let the two losses fool you lately this team has been on fire. They have one of the leagues top scorers in Jared Junker [sorry don’t have his # yet]. They usually don’t get a lot of shots on net but when they do they seem to be good scoring opportunities. Here is a list of their results from this season. Was talking with the Euless blog spot guy and since the Patriots lost last week we supposedly can finalize our spot in the kegger with a victory tonight!
week 1 Ice Holes 1- Snipers 0 [win]
week 2 Ice Holes 0- Stickmen 2 [loss]
week 3 Ice Holes 5- Stingers 4 [Shoot out win]
week 4 Ice Holes 0- Spiders 4 [loss]
week 5 Ice Holes 4- Wolverines 1 [win heard the W's scored 2x on themselves]
week 6 Ice Holes 3- Patriots 1 [win]
looks they have to be shut out to lose so Bobby come focused!

This Weeks Game [week 6]
This week we meet up with a familar face, Don Inman. Don is the netminder for the leagues newest team "true.com". They have a record of 1-3-1 and have 8 goals for and 16 goals against. From what I have researched most of their scoring has came from 2 guys [1 primarily] David Benson is their top scorer so we will definetly watch this guy and Carl Lucos is 2nd on their squad in points. Below is the results from their schedule so far:
Loss true.com 2 -- Komets 5
S.O.L. true.com 0 -- Patriots 1
Win true.com 4 -- Shockers 3
Loss true.com 0 -- Puckers 4 [was a fun game trust me I was there!]
Loss true.com 2-- Brewzers 3
as you can see they hung with the Pats and Brewzers fairly well. I say we get an early jump on em and get em down and keep em there!! I know Don is going to be really focused until we get that 1st one past him, then who knows...
So every one lets get focused and prepared a perfect season is still on the line!!!
After this match up there will only be 2 games left, one with a very tough opponent the Ice Holes and our finale against coach's Snipers.

No pretty win...

Good back checking also made it difficult for them to set up an assault on Bobby who holds a 1.0 GAA so far this season .

Alot of hustle led to an abundance of scoring opportunities
and shots on what was a very focused [and limber] goalie.
Over all it was great battle and a tight come from behind win.
This week we get the schedule presents us with our former goalie Don and his new squad true.com.. This maybe a week where coach experiments with lines and players or maybe lets us keep practicing on what is working for us this season. Either way this next opponent shouldnt be taken lightly.
"it's payback time..."
** a special thanks again to Bill the Fugz #1 fan for taking some great photos, sorry time and space only allows me about 5 photos a post.
still need goal scorers, assists, penalties, and shots if any one has them, other wise i will get em Tuesday then post the stats then.

Game #4 Win #4
or "risen to first" according to our friends at the Euless blog spot.
Here is the game recap from their site:
Fugaweez 2 Blue Devils 1
In the I league “game of the night” this was a biblical showdown of Good vs Evil….you decide who was who. A scoreless game till the third when James Deboro drew first blood for the Blue Devils on a Dan Glien Assist. Fugaweez retaliated right back on a goal from Chuck Dolbee. The score remained 1-1 on what we heard was an amazing third period, until Dallas Lehr hit the game winner from Dolbee with 42 seconds left. Fugaweez are now in control of 1st place officially at the halfway marker. Goaltending was phenomenal in this one. Mike Redmond stopped 18 of 20 while Bobby Michaledos stopped 12 of 13 on the night. What a game…
Have not recieved my copy of the score sheet yet but i had Chuck with the first goal from Craig and Mitch... and the 2nd one I got with some help from Chuck.
So i guess since Chuck got a pair of points he didnt have to use penalties to get his name on the score sheet and left that up to Carl who from what I remember got our only penalty of the game? [so much for being Thugz]. any other notes or anything be sure to sound off!

Brewzers1-- Komets 2 [shoot out loss] dont let this one fool you, Komets are getting their act together.

This Weeks Game [week 3]

This week our squad will line up and take on the Patriots at 11:15pm. The Pats are also 2-0. They have 5 goals for and just 2 goals against. Their past games were wins over the Stingers 3-2 and Wolverines 2-0. They are a solid team and always a contender for the Stanley Keg. This will definetly be our first major test of this season.
They have a great goaltender in Jesse Gonzales [2x keg winner/ex-phantoms goalie]. Also on their roster is Rahul Sharma and Nate "little ball of hate" Hodges [the alternate blog captain on "Saturday Night Heros"] both of these guys can find their way to the score sheet.
Every bring your "A" game this week as we look to continue our season of "payback"
Next weeks opponent is the Blue Devils.
sound off below if you are/are not going to make it.

With a pair of goals from Doc and Matt came through with another game winner to seal the deal.
Clark also pitched in with a pair of helpers on Doc's goals.
Other mentionables: Mitch "Big Gnat" Gnatowsky took a 4 minute stick penalty [found his way to the score sheet one way or another!]
A little birdy also mentioned that Chuck assisted on one of the Shockers goals...hmmm
